Tourist Information and European Residents Office

• The Councillor for Tourism Mª Carmen Garcia and the Councillor for European Residents Samantha Biddles are working together on the latest project for the Village of Algorfa.

• The two Councillors have been busy obtaining permissions and funding from the Valencian Government since June last year.

• Last week Samantha and Mª Carmen received the excellent news that Algorfa can go ahead and that the project had been passed.

• Samantha Biddles told us new premises are a necessity here in Algorfa it means all residents can obtain correct information and be advised over any concerns or situations they may find themselves in here in this foreign country.

• The fully qualified staff Samantha has been interviewing have been very promising, most applicants speak three or four languages and have degrees in tourism, she says the competition is fierce but she is very optimistic about the final outcome. The new office will open its doors sometime this year.
